
Russell (Russ) Koehler, 68, of East Windsor, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
He was born on September 9, 1949 in Hartford to the late Arthur E. Koehler, Sr. and Frances (Legienza) Koehler. He graduated from East Windsor High School in 1968. He enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and served his country from 1969-1975.
He is survived by his two brothers Arthur Koehler, Jr. and his wife Liz of East Windsor and Gary Koehler of Stafford Springs, his sister, Susan (Koehler) Gindhart of Colorado Springs, CO, step sister Brenda and her husband Steve of Windsor Locks and stepbrother John of East Windsor. He leaves behind a son Ricardo (Ricky) Koehler and his wife Joy, three grandsons, all of Hawaii, and his daughter Amy Koehler, a granddaughter and three grandsons, all of West Hartford.

He enjoyed operating heavy equipment, driving tractor trailers and making pickups and deliveries throughout most of the United States and Canada. He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR. He was a member of the American Legion (Post 0040), the Broad Brook Angling Club and the German Club of East Windsor.
Relatives and friends may join the family for a Graveside Service on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:30am at Scantic Cemetery in East Windsor.
