East Windsor Paraprofessional Of The Year Honored

The paraprofessional was praised as a team player who brings patience, joy and care to East Windsor's youngest learners.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — East Windsor Public Schools has named Cecilia Rosa its Paraprofessional of the Year, recognizing her work with Pre-K students at Broad Brook Elementary School.

Rosa is a STRIVE paraprofessional and was surprised with the announcement at the school, according to the district.

Broad Brook Elementary School Principal Laura Foxx, Assistant Principal Matt Ryan, Superintendent Dr. Patrick Tudryn, Assistant Superintendent Darryl Rouillard, Special Education Director Dierdre Osypuk and Special Education Supervisor Emily Benedetto were present for the announcement.

Rosa’s mother and nephews, who are also Broad Brook Elementary School students, were also there for the recognition, the district said.

Rosa was nominated for being “the ultimate team player,” bringing patience to her work and keeping students’ best interests at the center of what she does, according to East Windsor Public Schools.

“She takes joy in engaging and connecting with ALL students,” her nomination said, according to the district. “She is passionate about her students, the school climate and culture.”

The district thanked Rosa for her work with East Windsor’s youngest learners and the broader school community.
