East Windsor Police Conduct Active Shooter, Room-Clearing Drills With Windsor Locks
Officers trained inside East Windsor High School and committed to quarterly tactical exercises.
EAST WINDSOR, CT — Officers spent the past several days sharpening skills they hope they never have to use.
The East Windsor Police Department conducted tactical movement, room-clearing, active shooter and communication drills alongside the Windsor Locks Police Department, according to a social media post from the department.

Police said the sessions focused on coordinated response techniques and inter-agency communication, emphasizing that tactical response is a “perishable skillset” requiring consistent practice.
The training was held at East Windsor High School, with school staff providing access to the building for the exercises.

The department credited Sgt. Nick Cangemi for leading the instruction and (ret.) Lt. Glenn Buonaducci of Capitol Region Council of Governments for assisting with the program.
East Windsor police said they have committed to holding similar training sessions on a quarterly basis.
