East Windsor Police Warn About Water Company Scam

EAST WINDSOR, CT - Yesterday, the Vernon Police Department, the Manchester Police Department and the West Hartford Police Department received reports from homeowners of two individuals posing as employees from the Water Department who were requesting access to their homes. In the Vernon incident, an elderly couple allowed the individuals into their home and a large amount of jewelry was stolen.

We have not had any reports of this happening in our town, however, if you are unsure about the identity of someone requesting access to your home, do not let them in and call us at 860-292-8240. Please share this information, especially with our elderly population!
