East Windsor Roadway To Close During Daytime Hours

EAST WINDSOR, CT — Old Ellington Road will be closed to through traffic during daytime hours next week for construction on the School Hill water project, the town announced Friday.

The closure is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day from Monday, Sept. 28, through Friday, Oct. 2. The construction company will post detour signs, according to the town’s notice.

Emergency vehicles and buses will be allowed through. The town did not specify which stretch of Old Ellington Road will be closed.

The work is part of a project to extend public water service to the School Hill neighborhood and the East Windsor Housing Authority’s Park Hill complex. State project documents say the planned water lines will serve 31 homes in the School Hill neighborhood and the 84-unit Park Hill complex.
