The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Underperforming test scores is one of the biggest issues our district has. I would like to take the data for the past 15/20 years and see what the data tells us and and make adjustments.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

The biggest difference is that I have the most recent direct experience with the school district and in having children go through the system.

Other issues:

BOE members need to be up to date on new educational philosophies and practices. Teachers don't want to hear, "In my day we did it this way and we turned out fine" Children are growing up in a different era

--- one way for us to do this is to have informal discussions with teachers, and parents and students and other staff for us (BOEd) to listen. Done regularly-include parents/students/public in initial planning of the budget.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

For the past 27 years, Kylee has worked in the Technology Industry and has been responsible for managing accounts with budgets of over $100M. Kylee’s goal is to apply her fiscal knowledge and volunteer experiences to support the noble work of providing our children with the high-quality education they deserve, and while always being mindful of the equally important task of being good stewards of the finances.
