Federal Shutdown Taking Its Toll At Bradley

Air traffic controllers are taking second jobs to bridge the gap.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Air traffic controllers are being forced to go without pay during the federal government shutdown. However, they're still reporting to work at Bradley International Airport and doing their job without a paycheck.

WTNH reported that to bridge the gap, many air traffic controllers are taking on second jobs, doing everything from driving an Uber to driving a Zamboni at an ice-skating rink.

Brian Krampovitis, President of the Air Traffic Controllers Association, said although it's still safe to fly, it's less safe than it was before the shutdown.
