A Fun Indoor Activity for Saturday!!!

Broad Brook Library. 10-3-2015 Book Reading from 10 to 10:30 am. Open House from 10 am to 1 pm. Games, baked sale, raffle, family fun.

Join us Saturday October 3, 2015 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Broad Brook Library located at 107 Main Street, Broad Brook, CT 06016 as we celebrate one of the best-kept secrets in Broad Brook.  There will be games and activities for the kids and a tea-cup raffle with items donated by local businesses.  Come explore this Main Street gem for some small-town family fun.  Due to the rain all of our activities will be inside the library on Saturday.  We will still have many fun things to do including a book reading from 10 to 10:30.  We hope you can make it.

The Broad Brook Library has been open and free to the public in the Broad Brook section of East Win since 1919.  Our small library offers a variety of reading experiences, including new fiction and classics, on a shoe-string budget.  You won’t find a computer here, but you will find the perfect book in which to explore and escape.  Our most recent book is Monkey See...Sea Monkey by Matthew (Matman) Herring; this is a fun book that takes place in Broad Brook in the late 1970‘s.   The Broad Brook Library Board and the East Windsor Historical Society are teaming up to raise money for operating expenses and new books.

In honor of banned book week, the Broad Brook Library will have a book reading of the banned book And Tango Makes Three by Justin Richardson and Peter Parnell from 10 am to 10:30 am.  Vaughn from Book Club Bookstore is excited to do the reading and invites other kids to join him to hear this true story about a penguin family in the Central Park Zoo.  Bring your favorite banned book to show the others who addend.
