Fundraiser-Vendor Event for Local Boy Diagnosed with Crohn's

Fundraiser on Friday 8-29-14 to benefit local family.

Andy Bushnik has very recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, and has undergone two surgeries already to help fix an abscess. He has started medicine infusions, and will continue these for years to help his gastrointestinal tract hopefully heal. It’s a long and bumpy road ahead, but we are praying for a full remission of symptoms, and complete healing. We know God is in control of everything, so we look to Him for wisdom and understanding.

While this issue may be minor to some, with a recent job change, and insurance coverage issues, we have been hit with high bills to pay for the services we’ve already received for our son, and much more will be coming down the pipeline to us soon. In this economy, it’s hard to state we do not want the services to get our son healthy, but being able to pay for such things is extremely difficult.

We invite you to attend this Fundraiser at the Windsor Locks Senior Center, from 6:30 to 8:30 on Friday 8-29. The feature event of the evening will be a Freezer Meal Workshop lead by Andy’s mom, Leah Bushnik. Many other vendors such as Tupperware, Close To My Heart and Gary the Magic Guy, will be in attendance at this event. All vendors in attendance have donated items for the raffle table which will be held at the end of the evening. All proceeds will go to help defray medical expenses and also to the CCFA (Crohn’s Colitis Foundation of America) to help others with this disease.

If you cannot attend this event, but would still like to help, please consider donating to the families GoFundMe site at www.gofundme.com/andyvscrohns. The family thanks everyone for their love, support and prayers at this time.
