Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Windsor Locks, East Windsor
The worst of the weather is predicted to impact Monday's morning commute as heavy rains and possible flooding are predicted.

It’s really true weather can change quickly.
We experienced an almost perfect weather day on Sunday, and now the National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for the entire state of Connecticut for late tonight and Monday.
It does appear that the worst of this storm will impact Southern Connecticut including all of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties.

The National Weather Service writes, “there is the potential for locally heavy rainfall late this evening and overnight tonight. This likely will cause some minor urban and poor drainage flooding and possibly some isolated flash flooding. At this time the heaviest rainfall is expected to begin just prior to the start of the morning commute.”
The heavy rains will continue on Monday, and “widespread minor flooding of urban and poor drainage areas as well as possibly isolated flash flooding. The heaviest rain is expected to fall from the morning rush into early afternoon.”
For Hartford and Tolland counties, the “Hazardous Weather Outlook” is for a period of heavy rainfall that may lead to some flooding in certain areas, but the weather service stresses that no major flooding issues are expected.

However, compounding the issue is the fact that fog will be an issue on Monday night, the weather service forecasts.
