Inside Look At Policing: East Windsor Citizen’s Police Academy Returns This Spring
The eight-week program will give residents an inside look at police operations through weekly evening classes this spring.
EAST WINDSOR, CT — East Windsor residents have a chance to get an inside look at how their police department operates this spring, with enrollment now open for the department’s third annual Citizen’s Police Academy.
The eight-week program will begin in late March and run through mid-May, offering weekly evening sessions led largely by in-house personnel from the East Windsor Police Department, according to a department announcement.

Classes are scheduled to begin Monday, March 23, and conclude May 11. Sessions will be held every Monday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the East Windsor Police Department Annex, located at 25 School St.
Academy seats are reserved first for East Windsor residents, though out-of-town applicants may be considered if their community does not offer a similar program.

Participants will receive educational materials and instruction covering a range of topics, including patrol operations, detective work, training and academy standards, and police accountability, according to the East Windsor Police Department.
