WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — My name is Chris Latournes and I am running for Town Clerk and Town Treasurer. I have lived in Windsor Locks my entire life and graduated from Windsor Locks High School in 2006. I continued my education at Indiana University Bloomington, earning a bachelors degree, and at Boston University where I earned a masters degree. I currently serve as the Windsor Locks Town Treasurer. In my role as Town Treasurer I have approved the refinancing of existing town bonds resulting in savings to the taxpayers of over $200,000 in interest payments. I have also assisted in the preservation of our AA+ bond rating. I believe it is my civic duty to be fiscally responsible.

I am currently a Justice of the Peace and Notary Public and previously served as the Chairman of the Windsor Locks Housing Authority. I own and operate a music studio, teaching drums to local aspiring musicians, and a lawn and landscape business.

As a small business owner I am experienced in website design, social media and developing online curriculum. I believe these same skills will translate well into modernizing how business is conducted in the Town Clerk’s office. If I am elected Town Clerk, I want to expand the online registration capabilities for dog licenses and I guarantee to deliver excellent customer service with a smile.
