EAST WINDSOR-ELLINGTON-SOUTH WINDSOR-EAST HARTFORD, CT —Crime across Connecticut is a problem and it's getting worse. As a retired municipal law enforcement officer serving the community of East Hartford for 27 years, and from 2007-2011 serving as East Windsor’s Deputy First Selectman, I feel I have a unique perspective on our state's crime situation. Our current politicians gave us the "police accountability act." We have daily media crime reports confirming the failure of this legislation.

Matt Harper is running for state senate and upon meeting him, I was impressed with his heartfelt commitment to Connecticut. I like Matt because he didn’t say things he thought I wanted to hear. We need someone like Matt who will fight for safety in our community. Our current politicians do not inspire confidence in our government as Matt Harper proves he will.

I happen to know that police officers think highly of Matt. They know which candidates truly have their backs, and they know which ones do not. Matt will fight for all of us. That is why I support Matt Harper for state senate. He is the change we need.
