Two years ago I ran for the office of State Representative because I wanted to be a voice for the town of Ellington in Hartford. I wasn’t successful but luckily for the residents of Ellington, East Windsor, South Windsor and East Hartford my long-time friend Tim Larson who ran for state Senate was. For two years he has been a voice for our town at the State Capitol and working on a bi-partisan basis for the greater good of his constituents. Respected by his colleagues in both political parties, he worked successfully keep a gun range out of East Windsor and Willington and continues to advocate for constituents who have discovered that their foundations are crumbling.

When approached by the Ellington Athletic Boosters about improving the athletic fields at the high school and installing lights, Tim Larson immediately went to work to secure state support for a new sports field at Ellington High School. Proud of our town’s agricultural business and in particular the innovative practices being put into practice by Oak Ridge Dairy Farm, Tim Larson invited the Senate Chairmen of both the Energy and Environment Committees to join him on a tour of the facility recently not only to educate them and but to advocate on behalf of his district.

I have known Tim Larson for 35 years and I can attest to his character, ethics and true commitment to helping people. I urge voters to send him back to the State Capitol to continue working on behalf of all the citizens of the 3rd District.
