Longtime Windsor Locks Restaurant Owner Passes Away
He passed away Monday at age 62 after battling a long illness.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Gus Kostantakis, owner of the Pizza Parlor restaurant on Route 159 for more than 35 years, passed away Monday after a long illness. He was 62.
Kostantakis, an immigrant from his native Greece, opened the restaurant in the Windsor Locks Commons at 255 Main Street in the early 1980s.
Friends of the longtime restaurateur have begun expressing their sympathy and sharing memories on social media and the D'Esopo Funeral Home web site.

Kostantakis is survived by his wife of 26 years, Connie, as well as two sons and many other relatives, according to his obituary.
