A Windsor Locks man won $500,000 on a $20 CT Lottery scratch ticket purchased at a local convenience store.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A CT Lottery scratch ticket purchased by a Windsor Locks man at a local convenience store yielded the top prize of $500,000, according to lottery officials.
Israel Rivera Jr. bought his winning Red Hot Riches ticket for $20 at the Hav-Mor Market at 24 South Elm Street. He claimed his prize Tuesday, according to the CT Lottery website.
The CT Lottery posts winners of $10,000 or more as public record.
