Major Changes Could Be Coming To Bradley Airport

From a new name to multiple new routes, 2019 could be big for Bradley.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - A report to the Connecticut Airport Authority shows that Bradley International Airport officials are exploring options for multiple new routes along with a potential new name for the airport. The Connecticut Post reported that the airport may pick up routes to the Caribbean, Phoenix, and Seattle this year.

Airport officials will hold meetings with at least ten airlines in an effort to bring new routes and increase passenger traffic. Seattle in particular will be a focus destination in 2019, according to the Hartford Business Journal.

At the same time, the airport may see a name change to increase recognition. The idea is to add Connecticut, Hartford, or Springfield, the Post reported, as the current name sometimes leads to confusion.
