Man Charged With Killing 7 In 'Horrific' Crash Had CT DUI Bust
A man who's being charged with killing seven motorcyclists in a New Hampshire wreck was arrested in Connecticut for DUI last month.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A Massachusetts man who has been charged with negligent homicide after a New Hampshire crash that killed seven was also arrested last month in East Windsor on a DUI violation, The Associated Press reported.
Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, 23, of West Springfield, MA, was arrested May 11 in the East Windsor Walmart parking lot after he failed a sobriety test. Officers reportedly responded after callers complained about a man jumping up and down outside his truck and revving the truck's engine.
He was due to appear in court Wednesday on the East Windsor DUI charge, Western Mass News reported.

However, Zhukovskyy was driving Friday night in a pickup hauling a transport trailer on Roue 2, a rural highway in Randolph, N.H., when he crashed into 10 motorcyclists in a scene that witnesses called "horrific." One crash victim was airlifted to a local hospital and two others were treated and released.
Zhukovskyy was traveling west and the motorcyclists were traveling east, MassLive reported.

"There was debris everywhere," said Miranda Thompson, 21, of Manchester. "People were in the grass. There were people putting tourniquets on people, trying to make sure they didn't move."
Zhukovskyy's pickup truck caught fire after the crash.
The bikers were part of the JarHeads Semper Fi Motorcycle Club and attending a reunion in the area, according to acting-Attorney General Jane Young.
Massachusetts State Police said officers seized wax packets from Zhukovskyy's home that they believed contain heroin, though he has not been charged with any drug-related crimes.
In addition to the East Windsor arrest, Zhukovskyy was charged in 2013 with DUI in Massachusetts when he was placed on probation for a year and had his license suspended for 210 days, according to WBUR
Authorities took Zhukovskyy into custody Monday on a fugitive from justice charge issued by Massachusetts State Police after New Hampshire police issued warrant for his arrest on seven counts of negligent homicide. Zhukovskyy made a brief appearance in court in Springfield Monday afternoon.
