Man Charged In Windsor Locks Church Burglary: Police
A man has been charged in connection with a burglary of a church in September.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Police have arrested a man in connection with a burglary at a local church. Tyler McKinstry, 27, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.
Police said McKinstry was wanted in connection with several other crimes in Windsor Locks and has nine convictions. He was arrested on a warrant and is currently in a Department of Corrections facility.

McKinstry was arrested after a burglary at New Life Assembly of God Church on Sept. 9. Patrol officers responded to an activated burglary alarm and located McKinstry walking in the area away from the crime scene where he was detained and interviewed by detectives, according to police.
After an initial interview and evidence gathering, police then completed a DNA test. Forensic analysis showed that the DNA was a match for McKinstry.
