Man Convicted of Stealing Over $760K Worth of Copper Wire from East Windsor Company

His job allowed him to manipulate invoice purchase records over a period of more than two years.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A Coventry man convicted of stealing more than three-quarters of a million dollars worth of copper wire from his former employer was sentenced to prison earlier this week.

Ronald Nason, 34, was sentenced Tuesday in Enfield Superior Court to 731 days in prison, or two years and one day, after being convicted of first-degree larceny, according to judicial records.

Nasoibn was convicted of stealing copper wire valued at $786,192 from Specialty Printing, his former employer in East Windsor. Nason's job allowed him to manipulate invoice purchase records without the company's knowledge between April 2013 and July 2015, police said.

Nason sold the stolen copper to salvage yards for a total of $252,408. He was arrested by the East Windsor Police Department in April 2016.
