Milestones Achieved By Windsor Locks, East Windsor College Students

WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted in the coming weeks.

Central Connecticut State University, New Britain CT

• Brennan Altshuler, Michelle Carrasquillo, MJ Carrasquillo, Rachel Doherty, Jerry Godefroy, Vilmari Gonzalez, Briana Hall, Noah Ingraham, Abishek Joshi, Chad Matheus, Taylor McLean and Shaday Murray, all of Windsor Locks, and Haley Langevin of Broad Brook made the spring 2023 Dean's List at CCSU.

Champlain College, Burlington VT

• Tyler Mann of Windsor Locks has been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester. Students on the Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester. Mann is currently pursuing the game dDesign major.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester, in which nearly 1,300 students were recognized for maintaining high GPAs.
  Among the students included are Haleigh Thibodeau of Broad Brook, majoring in early childhood education and psychology; Elizabeth Parlapiano of Broad Brook, majoring in physical education; Brianca Sailor of Broad Brook, majoring in business administration; Valerie Rosario of Windsor Locks, majoring in psychology; and Luis Vazquez of Windsor Locks, majoring in computer science. To qualify for Dean's List, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the spring 2023 Dean's List, including four local students: Courtney Perez, Rachel Severns and Josh Weiner, all of Windsor Locks, and Asha Patel of Broad Brook. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Western New England University recently named over 570 students to the spring semester 2023 Dean's List. Megan Noone of Broad Brook is majoring in psychology; Trey Saavedra of Windsor Locks is majoring in biology; and Jarod Witzke of Broad Brook is majoring in mechanical engineering.

William James College, Newton MA

• Kaitlyn Lichstein of Broad Brook has successfully graduated with a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling as a member of William James College's class of 2023. The college held commencement proceedings on June 12 for students and their families at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.
