Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Springfield College recently held its commencement weekend. At the graduate commencement, 658 master's degrees, six certificates of advanced graduate study, 15 Doctor of Philosophy degrees, 34 Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees, and five Doctor of Psychology degrees were awarded. At the undergraduate commencement, 873 bachelor's degrees were awarded for a two-day total of 1591 degrees. Local graduates were Jessica O'Brien of Windsor Locks, master's of education degree in Education; Joohi Butt of Windsor Locks, doctor of physical therapy degree in Physical Therapy; Andrew Toce of Windsor Locks, certificate of advanced studies degree in Psychology; Joseph Mahoney of Windsor Locks, master's of science degree in Psychology; Rhashita Brown of Broad Brook, master's of social work degree in Social Work; Mary Kay Kittredge of Broad Brook, master's of social work degree in Social Work; Rachel Frank of Windsor Locks, master's of social work degree in Social Work; Stephanie Madler of East Windsor, master's of social work degree in Social Work; and Abigail Creighton of Windsor Locks, master's of social work degree in Social Work.
• Springfield College has named four students from Windsor Locks to the dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2017 term: Megan Hoyt, Michael Smalley, Renee Dupuis and Megan McGloin. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.

University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, North Dartmouth MA

• Julia Matteson from East Windsor has been named to the spring 2017 UMass Dartmouth Deans list in recognition of earning a semester grade point average of 3.2 or higher of a possible 4.0.

Western Connecticut State University, Danbury CT

• Windsor Locks resident Sierra Bowman recently graduated from Western Connecticut State University.
