Narcotics Task Force Makes Major Heroin Bust

The task force is comprised of members of the Enfield, Windsor Locks and East Windsor police departments.

ENFIELD, CT — A regional narcotics task force executed a search warrant at an Enfield house Thursday morning, resulting in the arrests of two persons and seizure of numerous bags of heroin, thousands of dollars in cash and a handgun.

Police Chief Carl Sferrazza said members of the North Central Narcotics Task Force executed the warrant around 5 a.m. at 115 Moody Road. Police had obtained information about considerable illegal heroin activity at that residence.

Police seized about 1,500 packets of heroin, approximately $14,000 in cash and a black handgun, Sferrazza said.

Jorge Maldonado, 25, and Charise Gonzalez, 30, were each charged with possession of heroin with intent to sell and possession of cocaine. No bond information was immediately available.

The North Central Narcotics Task Force is comprised of members of the Enfield, Windsor Locks and East Windsor police departments.
