New Brewery, Taproom Opens In Windsor Locks

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Luppoleto Brewing Co. has opened at Main St. in Windsor Locks. "Luppoleto" means hop farm or hopyard in Italian, which pays homage to co-owner James Wright's Italian heritage.

" We selected Windsor Locks for its exciting downtown revitalization efforts and enthusiastic team at Town Hall," the company's website reads. "Our space in Dexter Plaza is just across from the inspiring Montgomery Mill apartment project and the soon-to-be-relocated New Haven / Hartford / Springfield rail line train station."

So far the taproom has featured live music and holiday events following its opening in October.

Owners James and Jen Wright have been brewing beer for nearly 15 years, according to The Journal-Inquirer. James Wright began brewing beer in his Windsor home, then won a contest to attend a beer camp through Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
