WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — In light of recent election security concerns both in Connecticut and across the nation, the Windsor Locks town clerk’s office has invested in a security camera to monitor the town’s sole absentee ballot box located at town hall.

Town Clerk Christopher Latournes told Patch, "It is vital to maintain election security and confidence in the voting process. This new security camera will act as a deterrent for anyone trying to abuse the services the absentee ballot box provides."

A grant for improving the security of elections from the Connecticut Secretary of the State's office was obtained to pay for the camera. It features clear video quality and precise zoom and pivot capabilities.
