Obituary: Ken Mokrycki, 73, Of Windsor Locks

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Kenneth J. “Ken” Mokrycki, 73, of Windsor Locks passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, August 2, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital. Ken was born July 23, 1945, in Hartford, CT the son of the late Edward and Mary (Bass) Mokrycki.
Shortly after High School Ken began working at the former Eastern Airlines. He was employed with Eastern Airlines for 23 years until their closing. Ken then went to school to obtain his Real Estate/Brokerage License. Ken was a longtime member of the Italian American Club, an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed watching NASCAR and football. Ken always had a smile and a kind word for people and easily made friends.
He is survived by his son Daniel Mokrycki and his wife, Jordan Welch of Orange and several cousins and their families. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service celebrating Ken’s life will follow the visiting hours at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ken’s name may be made to the Smilow Cancer Center @ St. Francis Hospital, 95 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105.
