Obituary: William Koropatkin, 95, Of Windsor Locks

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Willard A. “Bill” Koropatkin, 95, beloved husband of 55 years to the late Dorothy (Newell) Koropatkin, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at St Francis Hospital.

Son of the late William and Anna (Yavinsky) Koropatkin, Bill was born on July 28, 1923. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Bill was a resident of Windsor Locks since 1963. He was an active member of the Windsor Locks VFW and was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church.

Bill is survived by his son, Mark Koropatkin and his wife Cecilia of Windsor Locks, and four grandchildren Ryan, Kevin, Kelly, and Anna. In addition to his loving wife Dorothy, he was predeceased by two sons Alan and Willard, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. A procession will gather at the funeral home at 10:00 am for Mass of Christian Burial at St Robert Bellarmine Church at 10:30 am. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Willard’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
