Odd Mishap Injures Three On Board Flight Departing from Bradley

Two passengers and a flight attendant sustained injuries in a freak accident as a plane departed from Windsor Locks.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Two passengers and a flight attendant were injured Thursday morning when a beverage cart broke free aboard an American Airlines plane departing from Bradley International Airport.

The cart broke loose during takeoff, injuring the three, and was immediately secured. The injured persons sought medical treatment upon arrival in Charlotte, N.C., according to the airlines.

In an email to Patch, American Airlines spokesman Ross Feinstein wrote, "During takeoff for American Airlines flight 1941 from Hartford Bradley Airport to Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), a beverage cart came loose. The cart was secured and the flight continued, landing without incident at CLT. Our Care Team is assisting two passengers and one flight attendant who requested medical evaluation when they arrived in CLT."
