Officer Nearly Struck By Fleeing Vehicle: Windsor Locks Police
Police responded to a report of a "suspicious person" under a vehicle at the Econo Lodge, according to officials.
WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A Windsor Locks police officer was narrowly struck by a vehicle while they were investigating a report of a “suspicious person” under a vehicle at the Econo Lodge on Old County Road, according to officials.
Police responded to the scene around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday.
“Upon arrival a dark grey Acura with tinted windows sped out of the parking lot in a very reckless, dangerous, manner,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The vehicle narrowly missed the arriving officer. The suspect vehicle fled at a high rate of speed toward Rt 20. One catalytic converter was stolen.”
