Parts of Alaska are Warmer Than Windsor Locks, East Windsor: Our Hour-by-Hour Temperature Drop

Most of the state is under a wind chill advisory that can reach down to -20 degrees in certain towns.

The good news? We won’t have to worry about snow until at least the weekend.

The bad news? Parts of the state will reach -20 degrees tonight with the wind-chill.

Once again the temperatures will be taking a dip into the teens and lower throughout Connecticut.

Hartford and Tolland counties are under a wind chill advisory from 6 p.m. Monday through 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Wind chill readings will reach as low as 20 below in some parts of the state. That strong of a wind chill can cause frostbite in just 30 minutes to exposed skin.

Want warmer temperatures? Head to Anchorage, Alaska where the temperature was a comparatively balmy 41 degrees with light rain Monday afternoon. In fact, high temperatures will be above freezing through Friday in the state known for polar bears and Sarah Palin.

6 p.m.: 11 degrees, feels like -4 with wind chill.

8 p.m.: 5 degrees, feels like -9 with wind chill.

10 p.m.: 1 degree, feels like -12 with wind chill.

Midnight: -2 degrees, feels like -15 degrees with wind chill.

6 a.m.: -10 degrees, feels like -10 degrees.

9 a.m.: 1 degree, feels like -7 degrees.
