Pet Dies, 4 Displaced In Windsor Locks Fire

An early Thursday morning fire damaged a two-unit building.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Firefighters extinguished a fully involved structure fire at 21 Elm Corners early Thursday morning. Fire officials said the blaze resulted in the closure of Elm Street between John Street and Volunteer Drive but the street reopened before 6 a.m.

WTNH reported that the fire has displaced four people and resulted in the death of a pet guinea pig. Investigators are looking into what caused the fire.

The fire was a two-unit building and one of those units has been deemed uninhabitable, according to WFSB.
