Picture East Windsor - Then And Now
An old photograph and brief story from East Windsor's past, and how that site appears today.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — For today's edition of this periodic informal series, highlighting businesses from East Windsor's past and what those locations look like today, we delve into the 1974 edition of the East Windsor High School yearbook, The Archive, and an advertisement for MAB Gulf and Auto Repair.
Located at 115 Main Street in the heart of Broad Brook, the site had previously been home to Stolle Chevrolet. The first mention of MAB is in the 1973 yearbook, and the business was a regular supporter of the school through 1979.
In 1980, Main Street Automotive was featured in the yearbook, and remained so through 1983. Town land records indicate the property was sold multiple times in the 1980s and 1990s. Hopefully our readers can fill in some of the blanks during that time period.

Dennis Donnelly opened Dennis' Radiators and Automotive Center in 1998. In 2013, the property was purchased by the South Carolina-based parent corporation of Dollar General, and the building was completely rebuilt.
Here is a picture I took recently of the location.
