Picture Windsor Locks - Then And Now
An old photo and brief story from Windsor Locks history, and how that site appears today.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — The latest installment of this pictorial history series only goes back a few years, to a franchised entertainment venue which opened in Dexter Plaza in 2008: Monster Mini Golf.
The site featured an indoor glow-in-the-dark mini golf course, video and redemption arcade games, three-dimensional animatronic props, an in-house radio station and party rooms for hosting birthday parties and other special events. A YouTube video of an animated monster is shown below.
A unique feature of the business was the fact nearly every time someone completed their round, an employee would hand them a card entitling them to a free round on their next visit. By the time the doors closed (somewhere around 2013), my kids and I had accumulated about 50 of those cards

Several businesses have occupied the space since Monster Mini Golf closed, the last being Main Street Used Furniture. The property is currently vacant, and is shown below in a photo taken by me last week.
