Police: Another 3-Year-Old Found Walking Alone in Windsor Locks, Father Charged
The child was found walking unattended on Main Street just two days after a similar incident involving a different 3-year-old.

Another 3-year-old child was found walking around alone on Main Street in Windsor Locks, just two days after a similar incident occurred and the father in both cases was arrested.
On Monday, officers were dispatched to the area of the Valero Gas Station on Main Street (Route 159) for a report of an unsupervised 3 to 4 year old child near the edge of the roadway (Route 159/Main Street), according to police.
Police said the father fell asleep and the child left the apartment.

The child crossed Main Street on his own and headed to the Valero. The child was seen by an off-duty police officer and recovered safely.
Police said an involved investigation was conducted and the father, Jeremiah Fitzgerald, was arrested. He was charged with risk of injury to a minor and held on a $2,500 bond. Fitzgerald was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

In a separate incident, a 3-year-old was found walking unattended on Main Street near Dexter Plaza on Saturday and the father was arrested.
