As Practice Opens, a Look at Fall State Championships for Windsor Locks and East Windsor
The first day of practice for fall sports is Aug. 25; Patch looks back at state titles won by Raider and Panther teams in autumns past.
WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Thursday marks the official opening of practice for fall high school sports, and the first day gives every team hope and optimism that perhaps a state championship is in the cards.
A total of six Windsor Locks teams have captured state titles in fall sports in the past:
- boys soccer (6): 1994 (S), 1990 (S), 1971 (M), 1970 (M), 1964 (M), 1963 (M)
No East Windsor team has ever won a state title in fall sports in past years.
