Prostitution Sting Yields 15 Arrests in Windsor Locks

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Complaints of prostitution activity conducted in Windsor Locks businesses led to a two-month undercover operation targeting prostitutes and those who solicit prostitutes in the town. The operation took place within the central business district along the Route 75 corridor and has yielded 15 arrests, along with various outstanding arrest warrants for offenses including prostitution, narcotics violations, failure to appear in court and violation of probation, Lt. Paul Cherniack said.

Five women, ranging in age from 19 to 53, were charged with prostitution, with additional charges listed as applicable:

• Xue Lin, 50, Flushing, NY
• Nicole Vickers, 26, Woonsocket, RI
• Cassandra Summers, 30, Tracy, CA (also a warrant for prostitution)
• Michelle Vakman, 20, Farmington (also warrants for sale of narcotics and possession of narcotics)
• Youqin Zhang, 53, Flushing, NY

Eight men and a juvenile were charged with patronizing a prostitute:

• Underage male, 17, Windsor Locks
• Kevens Rivera Perez, 21, Hartford
• John Norris, 57, Windsor Locks
• Kevin Edwards, 49, Enfield
• Chris Vaughn, 43, East Granby
• Asif Chaudhry, 33, Windsor
• Atkim Harrigan, 32, Bristol
• Ignacio Carballo, 42, Enfield
• Francis Sackey, 31, Hartford

Court dates and bond information were not immediately available.

In addition, Rose Gilhooly, 19, of Windsor Locks was arrested on warrants for failure to appear and violation of probation.
