Public Hearing Continues On Windsor Locks Housing Proposal

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A public hearing which began in March concerning a proposed 22-unit housing development adjacent to Windsor Locks High School and St. Robert Bellarmine Church will be continued Monday by the Windsor Locks Planning and Zoning Commission.

The proposed development, entitled Heritage Farm, involves the construction of 22 dwelling units within eight separate structures. Six buildings will contain two units each, and two buildings will contain five units each, according to a site plan submitted by applicants Gary and Dan Merrigan and Daryl LeFebvre of M&L Development Corporation.

Most of the development would be serviced by a U-shaped driveway from South Elm Street. Six of the units would have direct driveways to South Elm Street.

The project would involve demolition of a long-blighted building currently on the property.
