Rescued From Bitter Cold, This Windsor Locks Dog Needs A Home

After being discovered alone outside in freezing temperatures, Max is now searching for a forever family.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Found wandering alone in the bitter cold just after midnight, a young dog now waits behind kennel doors, hoping someone recognizes his face — or decides to make him family.

Max was discovered Feb. 2 outside 55 South St. in Windsor Locks, according to a letter shared by Windsor Locks Animal Control. A concerned resident reported the dog roaming in the extreme cold, prompting police to respond and bring him to safety.

Animal control officials say Max remains unclaimed weeks later. Despite waiting each day for someone to come through the door looking for him, no one has.
