Critical differences between me and my opponents:

Board of Assessment Appeals member since 2015, Chairman for the past four years. During my time on the Board I've developed working relationships with the Assessors, Town Clerk, and and Selectman's Offices. I have an understanding of the Connecticut General Statutes related to the duties and powers of Boards of Assessment Appeals. I have attended Connecticut Association of Assessing Officers training classes on the Board of Assessment Appeals Handbook.

Accomplishments:

• Commissioner, Inland Wetlands Watercourses Commission • Lifelong WL resident, Class of 1978 • Board of Assessment Appeals member since 2015, and Chairman for the past four years • Recently appointed to the Town’s Recycling Committee and active in the CT Coalition for Sustainable Materials Management • Past member of the Economic and Industrial Development Commission • Environmental Analyst with the Department of Correction for the past seventeen years

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I'm running for re-election for a six-year term on the Board of Assessment Appeals. First elected in 2015, I have served as Chairman for the past four years. The Board’s function is to hear and decide the tax appeals of recommendations made by the Assessor. Over the past six years, I've sought to strike a fair balance between the needs of the Town and the fair value of residential, business, and personal property.
