WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - A new report places Bradley International Airport as 15th-highest in the country for cancellations. According to InsureMyTrip, about 2.6% of all Bradley flights were canceled last year.

"Data analysts say bad storms and power outages in 2018 were likely factors that contributed to the spike," according to an insuremytrip statement. Boston's Logan International Airport came in at No. 13.

Researchers at InsureMyTrip evaluated the latest data — released this week — from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The data included newly updated information on cancellations for all US airports last year.

New York's LaGuardia had the worst track record, winter storms a factor, forcing many flights to call it quits last winter, while Salt Lake City had the lowest percentage of canceled flights, the organization reported.

Looking ahead, InsureMyTrip predicts the grounding of Boeing 737 Max jets will inflate cancellation rates for many airports nationwide when 2019 percentages are calculated.
