Some More College Milestones By Windsor Locks, East Windsor Students

WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted in the coming weeks.

American International College, Springfield MA

• AmIC has awarded degrees to 364 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in 2023. Graduates from East Windsor were Ryan Allberry, Master of Education, and Danielle Sica, Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Timothy Pfaffenbichler of Windsor Locks, a senior who majors in economics, was inducted into the Omicron Delta Epsilon honor society at the Business Honors Reception on April 18 in the Student Center's Betty R. Tipton Room. Founded in 1963 through the merger of two honor societies, Omicron Delta Gamma and Omicron Chi Epsilon, Omicron Delta Epsilon now serves as one of the world's largest academic honor societies. In order to be inducted, students must hold a GPA of at least 3.0 in economics courses.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY

• Nicole Dipoppo of Windsor Locks, who is studying aeronautical engineering, has made the Dean's Honor List for the spring 2023 semester. Rensselaer's Dean's Honor List is compiled at the end of each semester to recognize undergraduate students who have completed 12 or more credit hours with a 3.5 grade point average or better for that term.

State University of New York, Potsdam NY

• Jimmy Quagliaroli of Windsor Locks was recently named to the President's List at the State University of New York at Potsdam. Quagliaroli, whose major is music education, was among 716 SUNY Potsdam students who were honored for academic excellence in the spring 2023 semester. To achieve the honor of being on the President's List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

University of Nebraska, Lincoln NE

• Ashley Lynn Novak of Broad Brook has been named to the Deans' List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2022-23 academic year. Novak, a senior majoring in anthropology, was named to the Dean's List for the College of Arts and Sciences.

University of Saint Joseph, West Hartford CT

• Nicole Garrity and Alana Picard, both of Windsor Locks, earned their way to the Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester. Students were awarded this academic achievement for having earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than a "B." Garrity is majoring in public health, while Picard is majoring in nursing.
