A session of the vocal improv experience “Sound Body Choir: Singing for Sound Bodies and Sound Minds” will be held Friday, June 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Ravenwood Holistic Wellness Center, 199 West Center St., Manchester.
Led by Margo Hennebach, Sound Body Choir incorporates body awareness, movement and vocal improv. Sessions involve warming up the body to open the breath and joints, and grounding the voice and establishing a safe place from which to sing. Hennebach is a classically trained pianist, has a graduate degree in Music Therapy, and has worked with such improv luminaries as Rhiannon and Bobby McFerrin. She is a trained Feldenkrais teacher, touring musician and recording artist.
