Stir The Pot Closes After More Than A Decade In East Windsor
The last day for the popular breakfast-and-lunch restaurant on Route 140 was Friday, Dec. 23.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — After more than a decade of serving top-quality meals to hungry customers in north-central Connecticut, the owners of Stir the Pot have closed its doors. The breakfast-and-lunch restaurant in the Bassdale Plaza on Route 140 shut down Friday, Dec. 23.
"After 11 amazing and unforgettable years, we have made the difficult decision to close Stir the Pot," the owners wrote on the restaurant's Facebook page. "This was one of the most difficult decisions we have had to make because we love Stir the Pot, our loyal customers and our wonderful team of people who have made this place what it is."
The owners cited several factors involved in their decision, including rising food costs, staff shortages and the retirement of the restaurant's head cook. The eatery had been open daily from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
