Teen Driver Hospitalized After Snowy Crash

The crash happened around 7 a.m. near Church Street and Wesley Road in Broad Brook.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A 16-year-old driver was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after losing control on a snowy curve and crashing into a parked vehicle in Broad Brook, police said.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. in the area of 67 Main St., near Church Street and Wesley Road, according to an email from Lt. Derek Leab of the East Windsor Police Department.

Police said the teen was negotiating a curve in snowy conditions when the vehicle went off the roadway and struck a parked car.

Due to damage to the driver’s side door, firefighters had to extricate the driver from the vehicle, police said.

The teen, who will remain unidentified because he is a juvenile, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
