Tires Stolen, Gun Found at High-End Dealership in East Windsor

Police are investigating to determine if there is a connection between the incidents.

East Windsor Police are investigating after a vehicle for sale in a high-end dealership was stripped of all four tires the same day that a loaded gun was found on the property.

Police said the tire theft occurred at North Bay Imports, 81C South Main Street, on Saturday and a fully loaded black 9mm Kel-Tec firearm (pictured) was located toward the rear of the property in a plastic Wal-Mart shopping bag.

Police said an investigation is under way to determine if the two are related.

“With the warmer weather arriving soon we tend to see a rise in thefts such as these as well as thefts from unlocked vehicles,” the department posted on its Facebook page. “Please be aware of your surroundings and call the police department to report suspicious activity.”
