Top-Scoring Candidate Joins East Windsor Police — She’s The Chief’s Daughter
She earned the highest score in the department's competitive hiring process and will begin academy training March 27.
EAST WINDSOR, CT — The East Windsor Police Department has hired Miranda Carl as its newest police officer, marking a notable moment for the department as the daughter of Chief Carl begins her own career in law enforcement.
Police said Carl spent the past two years serving the community as a dispatcher, answering calls and helping residents in urgent moments, while also attending Charter Oak State College full time to pursue a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

According to the department, Carl recently went through East Windsor’s competitive hiring process and earned the highest score among all candidates, securing the appointment on her own merits.
