The East Windsor Agricultural Commission took the farmers' market to a grassy lawn at the Connecticut Trolley Museum this past Sunday. Despite the heat there was plenty available for purchase from organic beets and lettuce to goat cheese and shitake mushrooms. Attendees could sample Connecticut made salsas, chips, relishes and biscotti cookies. The corn Baggot Family Farm provided sold out. No worries~ there will be more this coming week and both stands on Route 5 and 140 have fresh stock every day. July 14 the band "A Wing and a Prayer" will provide music and Sylvia's hot dog stand has a great lunch. It is fun to watch the trolleys and the people~ all in all it makes for a great East Windsor outing. Post your favorite East Windsor outing!
