Two Windsor Locks Men Charged After Fleeing Police, Crashing
Two local men have been charged after they fled from police and crashed into a tree.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Two local men have been charged after they led police on a chase and crashed their vehicle. The driver of the car was Brad Mangini, 19, of Suffield Street, and the passenger was Brandon Walters, 21, of Marshall Street.
According to police, Mangini was driving at 12:36 p.m. Sunday when police were informed that a Pontiac Grand Am was operating erratically on Route 75, including passing a vehicle in a no-passing zone and running a stop sign at a high rate of speed.
An officer then attempted to stop the Pontiac but the car fled and continued driving recklessly. The vehicle crashed into a tree at Elm and Main streets, according to police.

A police search of the vehicle revealed a sandwich size bag of marijuana on Walters. Two more pounds of marijuana were found in the trunk.
The Pontiac was registered to a Marcus Champagne.

Mangini was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and numerous other driving and drug-related charges. He was held on $50,000 bond.
Walters was charged with possession with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $25,000 bond.
