Varsity Schedules Set to Begin in Windsor Locks, East Windsor

WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Schools are all now back in session throughout Connecticut, and athletic teams have been practicing for nearly two weeks. Looking forward, opening day for Windsor Locks and East Windsor high school varsity squads is literally just around the corner.

Here are the scheduled regular season openers for Raider and Panther teams:

WINDSOR LOCKS

• football - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Nonnewaug, 6:30 p.m.
• boys soccer - Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Stafford, 3:45 p.m.
• girls soccer - Tuesday, Sept. 12 vs. Stafford, 3:45 p.m.
• girls swimming - Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Woodland, 5 p.m.
• cross country - Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Granby (with Stafford), 4:15 p.m.

EAST WINDSOR

• boys soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 at East Granby, 3:30 p.m.
• girls soccer - Friday, Sept. 8 at East Granby, 5:15 p.m.
• girls volleyball - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Bolton, 5:30 p.m.
• football - Friday, Sept. 8 vs. Morgan, 6:30 p.m.
• girls swimming - Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Woodland, 5 p.m.
• cross country - Wednesday, Sept. 13 vs. Somers, Coventry, Classical Magnet, 4:15 p.m.
