VIDEO: Bear Spotted in East Windsor

A resident observed the bear taking down a bird feeder.

The black bear pictured above was observed in the back yard at 25 Plantation Road on Thursday morning. East Windsor Police said it also observed on Rye Street heading toward South Windsor.

The bear took down the bird feeder in the video on Plantation Road. A bear, presumably the same one, was spotted earing out of a bird feeder in South Windsor.

The Connecticut DEP offers the following information:

If you see a bear:

  • Enjoy it from a distance.
  • Advertise your presence by shouting and waving your arms or walk slowly away.
  • Never attempt to feed or attract bears.
  • Report bear sightings to the Wildlife Division, at (860) 675-8130.
